Hello, Mr. Isetani. Thank you for your question.
I entered the Ryokusei Igo Gakuen when I was in fifth grade of primary school and attended it for over ten years. I no longer attend it, though I do occasionally drop it for a visit.
My memories? At the beginning, I was at an age when I just couldn't keep still, so studying for long hours without moving was really tough for me. Thanks to the academy, however, I think that I got good practice in learning to be patient.
My number one memory is of the summer camp held in Okinawa when I was 12 or 13. Of course, we had to study go, as it was a go camp, but we all swam in the ocean and did a lot of sightseeing. Everything was new for me and I still remember how excited I was at my first trip to Okinawa. Looking at the bright blue skies and emerald-green sea and the verdant greenery almost brought tears to my eyes.
Since then, I've been to Okinawa more than five times, but it's still a special place for me. |
