I am a beginner who has recently started playing on PandaNet. I play as 20-kyu and I win some and lose some. At present, all I do is play actual games; I realize that I need to study to improve, but I don’t know where to start, and I can’t help wondering if I will ever improve. I would be grateful if you could tell me what you think is the most reliable way of studying. |

Hello, Mr. Sato. Thank you for your question.
Regardless of what your level is, the basic study methods are playing through games (which is a little more fun if you choose those of a professional you like), solving simple life-and-death problems, and playing as many games as possible.
The Net is convenient, as you can play any time you feel like it, but I suggest also going to your local go club and playing face-to-face games. You can learn a lot from this.
I think that go will become more and more fun for you, so please take your time and enjoy it at a leisurely pace. |
