The Pair Go final in Hawaii.
Wearing matching aloha shirts.
My most memorable game is the final of the Pair Go Championship when I was paired with Satoshi Yuki 9-dan 17 years ago. It was staged at the same time as the first game of the Kisei title match. It was in Hawaii! When we made the final, Tsukuda and I were really happy. (^0^)

Our opponents in the final were the pair of Otake Sensei and Tsukuda.

At one of my moves, Yuki made a deep sigh. Although I felt sorry, I also thought his sigh was too loud . . . (-_-;) But sometimes he would also nod his head in approval, which made me happy.

The game itself was chaotic, and the lead changed two or three times. We were able to win, so we were really lucky.

The following year, we were supposed to be seeded as the winners, but I was having a baby, so unfortunately I had to decline. It would be nice if we could pair up again some time, but 17 years have passed in a flash. If we do pair up again, I will do my best to reduce the number of Yuki's deep sighs.

That memorable game in Hawaii – it was a valuable, fun week, like a dream.
