When I want to convey the fascination of Go in a beginners' class, I often say: 'You can enjoy Go with people of all ages, from children to old people, and even children can win against adults.
For me personally, the interest of Go is that the same position never comes up no matter how often you play, and with each move you have to evaluate the position. At such times, there's give-and-take with the opponent, and even when you can't find the answer, you can think about various different strategies - this is the most enjoyable part of Go.
I think that if you keep playing Go, you come to understand more and more how much fun and how profound it is. Whether you win or lose, you enjoy thinking about the game. I hope that the game becomes more and more popular and that the Go population increases.
