At present, I play on Pandanet as 7-dan, but I am bad at fast games (though I suppose that for you all Net games are fast games). If I have 8 to 10 minutes (per 25 moves), I can play solidly, but if my time is less than 5 minutes I canft work out what to do and I collapse.
Do I have a bad feel for go? I canft help thinking this, and I wonder if therefs any other way to get strong at fast games besides just playing a lot of them. Also, is it necessary to play fast games?

Hello, Mr. Kato. Thank you for your question. Youfre very strong if you usually play as 7-dan.
Itfs certainly true that there are probably more and more players at your level playing with 5-minute or 3-minute time allowances. They would be strong opponents.
I myself am hopeless at fast games, so I understand your feelings. Personally, I donft think you have to make any special effort to play fast games. Of course, itfs different if you have to train yourself to play well under time limits to take part in tournaments.
The best thing is to use your time allowance to play to your own satisfaction. The fact that you have a lot to think about is a sign that you are strong at go. Please be confident in yourself and enjoy playing as you are now.
