Can you tell me about the happiest game you played? And the saddest? |

Hi, Mr. Hanawa. Thank you for your question.
My happiest game? The game with which I qualified as professional 1-dan really made me happy. The game that won me my first title, too. But number one is the first game I won in a world championship. I played it four years ago. Previously, I’d played in world championships, but hadn’t been able to win.
Every time I played, I really felt the barrier of an international tournament and I really, really wanted to win. The content was poor, but I played my own style to the end, without giving up. I was concentrating so hard that the moment when the opponent resigned I was in a daze.
This win gave me confidence and made me want to play in more international tournaments.
What would be the game I most regret? It’s very hard to narrow it down. I really regret games in which my mental weakness is exposed. I feel miserable and want to cry. These games are all equally sad for me. I’m upset with myself, not with the opponent. I’m sorry but I can’t pin it down to just one game.
While answering your question, I vowed to myself to play my hardest.
I hope you keep enjoying playing on Pandanet. |
