If you hadn’t become a professional go player, what job would do you think you would be doing now? |

Hello, Mr. Tanauchi.
I began playing go when I was very young, and all my family were professional players. To tell the truth, I have never thought of any other profession.
Even now, when I try to think of another job I might like, it’s very hard to come up with anything. I am interested in studying calligraphy and in painting, and I also like writing. I also enjoy cooking and I like yoga. However, when I think of making any of these my profession, I feel it would be tough.
Bringing up a child is much more interesting that I had imagined, so if I hadn’t become a professional go player, I would probably now be a full-time housewife.
For me, go is really full of an immeasurable fascination. |
