A still life surimono New Year print by Katsushika Hokusai (1760 - 1849) of a lacquer Go board decorated with gold pine saplings and silver abstract flying cranes. The porcelain pot contains a blossoming miniature plum tree and an adonis plant, the two most popular flowers of the New Year. This surimono print is from the series, Uma Zukushi (Horse Series). Go has several knight or horse moves. Signature:  Fusenkyo Iitsu hitsu
