"Kenuki" is one of the 18 most favourite plays of Ichikawa
Danjuro the 7th, and represents the "aragato" style of acting,
which features exaggerated movements, stage props, and acting
style. At one point during the play, we see a giant pair of
tweezers float up into midair. "Kenuki" is the Japanese word for
"tweezers". The lower left corner of the picture depicts the
tweezers, and the patterns in the actor's costume are Go boards.
